iPhone activation이 계속 지연되고 있다고 합니다.

Apple과 AT&T가 계속되는 iPhone 활성화 지연을 지난 48시간동안 해결을 하지 못하고 있다고 전해졌습니다.

애플이 21일 일요일 아침 고객들에게 보낸 메일에 의하면 두가지 문제가 더 발생해 (System issues & high activation volumes) 활성화가 계속 지연되고 있다고 밝혔습니다. 애플은 얼마나 많은 고객들이 불편을 겪고 있는지 밝히지는 않았지만 전문가에 의하면 지난 주말동안 500,000대의 iPhone 3G S가 팔렸을거라 예상했습니다.

그리고 고객들에게 보낸 같은 e-mail에는 불편을 겪게 해서 죄송하다는 뜻과 함께 $30에 해당하는 iTunes store credit이 발송 될거라 밝혔습니다. 그리고 문제를 해결하기 위한 최대 48시간의 시간이 더 소요 될 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.

아래는 애플이 고객들에게 보낸 이메일 전문입니다.

Dear Apple Customer,

Thank you for your recent Apple Store order. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delay in your iPhone activation.

We are still resolving the issue that was encountered while activating your iPhone with AT&T. Unfortunately, due to system issues and continued high activation volumes, this could take us up to an additional 48 hours to complete.

On Monday, you'll receive an email from Apple with an iTunes Store credit in the amount of $30. We hope you will enjoy this gift and accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this delay has caused.

Thank you for choosing Apple.

현지시간으로 월요일에 $30에 해당하는 credit이 발송된다고 하는데... 조금이나마 새 아이폰을 빨리 사용하려는 사람들을 달래는데 충분할지 의문이네요...
